Papa Fish Excursions的点评
点评：I have had opportunity to join Ukulhas Excursions with PapaFish for several trips/excursions in past week and it would be fair to share my experience with other travellers or people on holidays.
I am solo traveler and sometimes its hard to find excursion which I would like to join as many companies does not provide this opportunity or asking very high price or offers only private excursions.
I’ve been in touch with a few companies in Ukulhas but only PapaFish always (and I mean ALWAYS) found space for me and offer me different types of excursions or trips when they found there is a space.
I was very flexible so when I’ve received message with offers or updates every single morning it was up to me to say yes I wanna join or no, not today (well I’ve always answered yes).
I’ve been in Ukulhas just six nights and managed to go to:
- Thodoo Island on afternoon/evening - relax on the beach, swimming with turtles, watching sunset, dinner
- Thodoo Island with bigger group - I wanted to explore island by myself which was no problem at all so I didn’t join the group for snorkelling and lunch. I was in touch with Stefi and her friend who informed me when they are leaving for lunch. I was also told time when we are leaving.
- snorkelling, sand bank and Rashdoo Island - very relaxing day with amazing people. The beat lunch so far in Maldives. Wonderful snorkelling!

- day in resort with lunch
I have enjoyed every single time with Stefi and her captains! Some days were super calm and relax, some were physically challenging for me when ocean was a bit more rough and I was struggling to swim back to boat. Stefi actually helped me and hold my hand so I could manage easier. I also have had one very adventurous evening experience when weather decided to change rapidly super fast. But to be honest yes, it was scary to be on ocean when rain is painful BUT I have had good feeling about our captain and his decision as he was checking sea and weather constantly and was in touch with people in the harbour in Ukulhas and also Thodoo.
I am observing situation around me all the time thanks to my job so I can honestly say that his behaviour was professional, he didn’t make us feel worried at all.
I am a strong swimmer, confident in water but you never know what can happen … Stefi was always close to me (or I was close to her) when in the ocean and caption was always telling us which way is the best to swim when he spotted mantas especially and looked after us from boat.
After first trip, when I was watching captain and Stefi how they are dealing with unpredictable situation I felt safe, calm and happy. I completely trusted them.
Trips and excursions are very well organised and they are thinking about weather and safety of tourists all the time (also animals, rubbish and environment generally which I do appreciate!) so one morning I’ve received last minute cancellation because of strong wind and rough water which makes me sad but on the other hand I was exhausted and one day of relax and sleep was much needed.
Thank you guys for having me and makes me to want to come back to Maldives again! Next time I’ll be brave enough and swimm with sharks!
