点评：You can chalk this up to me being a dumba$$ or whatever. But you do apparently need to do some planning. This place now has operating hours and some kind of online ticketing thing I knew nothing about. I got an Uber up there, then found out the gates only open for 20 minutes three times a day (they reopen after 90 minutes after each opening to let you out). Please do the homework or book a tour. I was lucky, I was alone, so no one to be mad at me. Waited for the gate, got inside and found out I was supposed to have a reservation, I slipped in with the crowd, hustled away from the tour and got a selfie and a look at the city and statue, and made it out before the gate closed. Then I couldn't get an Uber or a taxi back (cell phone is spotty at best), so I started the (very long, like several miles) walk down the hill. After a half hour of walking and lost at a a fork in the road, a very nice woman, "Maria the Motorcycle Woman" stopped and asked if I was lost. She pointed me in the right direction. Then she came back and asked if I needed help. I did. She asked if I knew how to ride on a motorcycle (how to lean into turns, etc) and I do. She told me to get on. She gave me a ride all the way to the bottom (I had no helmet so I got off at the edge of the city because of the helmet law). She was a godsend. Don't be me. Plan ahead for this and know the rules, better yet, book a tour. It's not as easy as it seems and takes some planning. (And, to be honest, it ain't all that). Also, Maria, wherever you are, thank you. I hope life rewards you for your kindness and concern.
