Scuba Butler Fuvahmulah的点评
点评：Me and my 16-year-old daughter are both advanced open water divers and dived with Scuba Butler recently. We had gone to Fuvahmulah to commemorate my special 100th dive which was big milestone for me personally.
Before we planned the trip, Ms. Milna (who incidentally is the owner’s wife) handled the communication part very well and was very patient with my questions. She was excited from day 1 to be a part of our milestone dives. A major point : she got us confirmed tickets on Maldivian Airlines on flights which were not available on the airline’s website (showing fully booked). Also got us a small discount when we bought through her. Thanks Milna.
Here is my detailed review of Scuba Butler:
1. I did 7 dives with them while my daughter did 6.
2. We had 2 diving instructors with us: Aali and another one whose name I am forgetting. On the iconic tiger zoo dives, we were joined by Shumi who is the owner of the dive school and an accomplished diving instructor himself, having led several liveaboards.
3. Before starting our diving Aali showed us a short video on diving in Fuvahmulah with particular attention to dos & don’ts of diving with tiger sharks. This was indeed a very nice touch and helped us orient ourselves for the dives.
4. Our main instructor was Aali. He met us on the night we arrived at the hotel (was a nice touch, as we weren’t expecting him) and made us do the paperwork to speed up things.
5. Both Aali and his colleaguetook very good care of us. They were always around us during the dive making us feel very safe. During the Tiger Shark encounters, they were keeping a hawk’s eye on the tiger sharks, in case they became too inquisitive. 😊
6. Diving in Fuvahmulah is spectacular. Tiger zoo dive site is incredible. The sight of these majestic sharks, a few centimeters from you is just mind boggling. Tiger sharks are majestic and awe-inspiring.
7. Scuba Butler crew is phenomenal. Their crew gives us personalized attention. They are flexible and helpful. Aali chose the dive sites to give us the best experience and even changed the plan when we decided to take a chance to go to the Thresher Shark cleaning station. Akash was very helpful too. He is the guy who set up our equipment and helped us jump into the water. The captain was a silent but hardworking person.
8. We were lucky to spot a Thresher shark at the cleaning station. This was one moment which will never go away from our memories. A Thresher shark came out and gave us a magnificent fly past for around 2 mins before disappearing into the horizon. This was magical. Our Instructor Aali tried hard to spot this Thresher shark and excitedly pointed it out to us. His hard work made our dive memorable for sure.
9. Equipment appeared to be in good condition, and we didn’t have to worry about setting up our equipment etc. It was done by the Scuba Butler team.
10. Scuba Butler is really boutique diving at its best and the the perfect opposite of mass diving. Their boat is clearly the best in the business in Fuvahmulah. It had a closed toilet with a freshwater shower. It was not a hole in the wall toilet + shower but very spacious and airy place. It was located at the deck level and not in the basement. The toilet even had toiletries like shampoo and shower gel. They have a nice round table with chairs at the end of the boat for people to chill / relax after dives. They provided us with nice clean towels for the dives (1 towel per day). Boat had tea / coffee. They served some fruit to us after dives. I would like to suggest them to have some cookies on the boat as well 😊 Overall a superb boat which is very comfortable.
11. The team also took some nice videos of ours.
12. We were lucky to have the boat to ourselves as we were the only divers around (because of the low season). This also enhanced our experience a lot.
In summary, Scuba Butler is really a boutique diving shop which is completely opposite of what mass diving looks like. They give personalized service and are really caring about you and your needs. Very flexible, they are always around to make your experience memorable. Me and my daughter were very happy with our choice.
