A wonderful overland tour of Mesopotamia

点评：My husband and I just got back from a wonderful week in Iraq. We were part of an organized group (10 in total) who spent the week over-landing it in and out of Baghdad.
The tour was organized by Ahmed, friendly and extremely patient Salah was our guide, and Salam drove us safely from one destination to the next. (roads and traffic can be very challenging but he never seemed to get agitated). The trip requires a lot of driving which is expected given the locations we were visiting in just 6-7 days.
The hotels and restaurants provided on our itinerary were all good. Admissions to the sights were all reasonably priced as well.
The country itself is in the process of rebuilding itself once again. It was exciting to see museums and historical monuments are currently being restored. Sadly, we couldn't visit some museums and historical sites, but it's reason to come back in the future.
Overall, we always felt like welcomed guests and were honored to be able to visit the sights that currently do allow visitors.
Looking forward to traveling with you all again and thank you!
