Gardenstown Harbour的点评
点评：This is a beautiful little harbour. Quiet, sometimes, but that’s special these days! In the summer there’s a charity run cafe right on the harbour, and Eli’s Cafe is open most of the year and serves fantastic coffee, cake and lunches. The Garden Arms is a lovely quaint pub with Bram Stoker connections serving food at the weekends and with quiz nights on a Thursday and regular entertainment. The Heritage Centre on the harbour is open in summer, giving a great insight into the history of the area and St John’s Churchyard, a ruined church above the beach with fantastic views over Gardenstown and neighbouring Crovie, is also famous for an historic battle with the Danes - it’s well worth the climb from the beach, or short drive. The Wee Shoppie in Main Street is open most of the day every day until 9pm. There is a chip van, The Salty Chip, on the pier most of the summer, and another, The Frying Scotsman, comes to Gardenstown on a Thursday. A lovely little gift shop, The Gamrie Gift Company, has opened near the harbour, and the Denside Gallery sells lovely hand crafted items. Gamrie Creatives, an arts festival, runs every year in the summer. Boat trips have just started up from the harbour - Gamrie Bay Boat Charters. The wildlife is spectacular - seabirds, dolphins, whales etc, and the quiet morning and evenings, the sunrises snd sunsets are wonderful! The beach is lovely and peaceful, and there is a coastal walk round to Crovie. If you’re looking for lots of entertainment, it probably isn’t for you. We have been many times and love it!
