点评：Been here for a couple of nights over new year and had a fab time. We were upgraded to a 2-bedroom lodge which was absolutely beautiful. Very well finished, clean, well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Lovely quiet location (apart from the storm that was howling outside🤣) and very relaxing. Food in the Canny Crow was delicious and staff were very helpful, personable and attentive. Sadly they'd had a lot of last-minute cancellations for Hogmanay with folk being unwell which was a real shame as the ceilidh was very quiet and lacked atmosphere - that wasn't Dundonald's fault, it was simply circumstance. The only things I would raise as areas for improvement would be:
- I'd like to see some fresh fruit and flavoured yogurt at the breakfast buffet. There was plenty of food available but would have welcomed this addition.
- the soup at the Hogmanay ceilidh was not hot enough. We asked for it to be reheated which they allegedly did but it was returned just the same temperature as before.
These are minor issues as overall this was a very positive experience and I'd most certainly come back. The real stand-out for me was the reception and restaurant staff - very friendly and obliging. They also phoned a couple of times before we arrived to check how we wanted the room set up and to ensure our catering needs were met. Very good customer service.
