点评:We were back in Goa from the 17th February to 16th March, which meant we regularly walked up and down Gonsua Beach Road to and from the beach.
On the way we would walk the block pavement alongside the Lake. The concrete pillars, that support the poles that form the railings, had been recently repainted in a variety of bright colours.
Another addition was that benches had been installed at the top end of the Lake, the opposite end from Lake View apartments.
It was disappointing to see so much rubbish, plastic bottles, bags, glass bottles, food containers floating in the lake. It really was filthy on occasions and the floating scum on the water added to the misery.
In the evening along the Lake and the new seating area people gather to hang out having a drink, food and snacks. Sadly it seems to be the trend that rather than take their rubbish away, it gets dropped on the ground which usually finds its way into the Lake.
The pedalos and kayaks of the water sports have not been used for an age and now just sit their falling into disrepair and adding to the rundown appearance of the Lake.
Occasionally someone comes along and removes the rubbish from the lake, however it soon returns.
What did not help the situation was the fact that the opposite side of the road had been dug up as part of the programme to put all electricity cables underground. Once the cables were laid the earth was very crudely backfilled and looked messy.
