点评:We have farmer's markets at home, but I have never seen any like today's farmer's market on Sanibel.
Helpful hint: do not eat breakfast or lunch before heading there, and try to get there early so you'll find parking. It runs from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sundays only.
We came across so much fresh produce, lots of food vendors with foods from all over the world -- polish sausages, homemade tamales, French breads, cheeses, etc. Plus, other vendors offered homemade non-food items. We bought tamales to eat for lunch tomorrow and dug into the paella before leaving the parking lot. We also have everything we need for some hearty omelets tomorrow morning (and the rest of the week).
We had planned a visit to the local grocery to follow our farmer's market visit. Instead, we left the market with most of the items on our grocery list.
We enjoyed ourselves so much and saw a sign that indicated a farmer's market will be on Captiva Island on Tuesday. We're hoping to have a similar experience and to see some of these same vendors there.
