点评:OK. This is worth just a short stop, but it is definitely worth it.
We read about this site and realized it was only a 5-minute detour on our way to Prince Edward Island. In the past, we have visited road side sights all over the US and Canada.
This is a big lobster and it's easy to crawl on the rock in front of it for a quick photo. We arrived shortly after a tour bus from Quebec and were worried about getting a shot, but people were very nice, took turns, and let the next person get theirs. [This was a nice contrast from . . . say . . . Peggy's Cove where it was basically a tourist free-for-all.
There is easy parking next door and some souvenir shops around, as well as tourist information in a nearby building. For what it's worth, there is also a very nice Sobey's grocery store a few hundred metres down the road, which we were able to use to stock up on drinks and snacks for our trip.
The lobster was actually built in 1990, but looks practically new. Sadly, according to Wikipedia, it isn't actually the world's largest lobster, but it is still very cool.
As we said, it's worth the detour.
