Disappointingly uninterested staff

点评：We visited Tap 17 whilst on a short holiday to the area.
Noticing immediately that the atmosphere and decor were really welcoming we went to the bar area with high hopes. However after the most cursory greeting we found the girl working there to be decidedly unenthusiastic and much less than helpful when it came to explaining what she stocked and what our options might be.
Despite now feeling a little let down we ordered drinks and I’m bound to say they were both great, as was the music when we sat down.
Wondering if for some unaccountable reason it was just us, we watched and listened as a few other customers drifted in and ordered and saw that all were treated with a similar casual lack of enthusiasm.
It seems to me a real shame that such a pleasant little bar that obviously has a good product is so poorly promoted by its staff, not least since there is fairly large pub very close by.
An opportunity lost I’m afraid.
