May be tough for families with young kids

点评：I am a bit disappointed by this park. Not by the natural beauty- it’s clearly gorgeous, hence my photo. Photographers, solo travelers and couples will love this please.
My gripe is that the marine park takes up the entire beachfront town of Uvita- you cannot go for a morning jog, grab a beer and chill for sunset, or purchase any kind of week pass, which would be very helpful for those staying in the area for longer than a day, which is often the case for traveling families. And when they say $6 per person, families should know there is no reduced fee for children or infants. My 11 month old paid $6 too, so for a family of 4, if you are planning to go to the beach every day for a few days for your vacation, it will be approx $27 per day (after tax and fees), along with $6-8 to park.
The lack of proper amenities for the fee is annoying but doable (no tables, toilets have no paper), until you add in that the boat embarking/disembarking area that seems to take up a much larger portion of the beach than is marked, so you must wait for low tide so you can walk away from the constant gasoline fumes towards the tail, and again, for families with young kids, you’re walking for a good bit here. I suggest not going to the main entrance with kids (the main one on Google) and trying the other roads/entry areas instead.
Hermosa Beach is a better bet if you’re looking for family beach time.
