点评：We went on a 3-day trip with Yassin. We were not sure what to expect, but it was in one word amazing! We basically went all the way around the Zerg Chebbi sand dunes, which on average are 6x28 kms , everywhere around it is Hamada; rocky desert. During the rides we would go in and out of the dunes and on top of higher dunes for stunning views of the desert and the sunset. Since we were both experienced riders and rode quite fast and hard, Yassin made some adjustments to the trip for us to get the best experience possible, and he has done an amazing job ! The first day you’re still in an area where there are lots of camps and other tourists doing trips with camels and quads. The second day however you feel like you’re truly away from everything as you’re now riding on the Algerian border side of the dunes, where there are no towns. This area had the most amazing flat sandy tracks for long and very fast gallops, it was incredible! The second night was spent at the best camp we’ve experienced in the area; sand fish luxury camp; it’s nestled in smaller dunes and has amazing views, its also very nice and quiet. It was incredible to see the Fatima lake that hasn’t had any water in it for a very long time, until now. Something we were not aware of is that there are no longer any permanent camps in the actual Erg Chebbi dunes (only on the edges) as it’s forbidden now; for the protection of nature and the Fennec foxes.
Overal the food was very good and all camps have some campfire music in the evening.
The horses are very well taken care off and you can clearly see they absolutely adore the guys that usually take care of them/ride them. Food and water is organised for them at the lunchstops and in the evenings; where they will get sand baths, a shower where possible and a good brush after they’ve dried. They all have very different personalities and some are a bit spicy and very fast, others more relaxed.
They are all very well behaved though; there’s a horse for everyone.
We were very tired after 3 days in the saddle but could not have been happier. We hope to come back one day!
