3 of us seniors took a long walk in the forest. This is the only way to look for Gibbons or other animals. We didn’t see any Gibbons but were happy with watching Pig Tailed Monkeys jump from branch to branch reminding us of Jungle Book.
The armed guard was more informative than our guide who walked faster than us to see if he could spot any Gibbons.
I had asked at the time of getting entry tickets what I should be paying the guide & armed guard. I was told you can give them ₹300/- each.
Foreigner entry ticket ₹500/- each. Indian ₹50/- each.
We didn’t see any Gibbons as we were “late” in getting to the sanctuary! I was told by the guide about 6 times that we should have come earlier. That the Gibbons are most active in the mornings.
It would have surprised him to see them fully active on the main road as we exited the sanctuary. It was enjoyable to see a family of Gibbons together.
