Unlike Any Wildlife Experience

点评：I first came to the lagoon 20 years ago. It’s difficult to articulate how the experience touched my heart and my soul. There was a time when humans did their best to slaughter all the whales as they entered this lagoon each winter. That these magnificent creatures would grace us with their curiosity, intentionally seek out a physical connection, trust us to engage with their newborns, felt oddly like forgiveness. Jose Sanchez was a wonderful guide, the whales were inquisitive, the food was fantastic, everything was so perfect. I intended to never return, knowing that anything less would be disappointing. Ten years later, I wanted to share something really special with our adult daughter, so I decided to take her to the whales of San Ignacio. I kept my expectations in check, accepting that there was no way my second visit could possibly be as amazing as my first. When the plane landed on that dirt airstrip and i stepped out and saw Jose was again there to great us, i was stunned and a bit misty eyed. And the whales were inquisitive and the food was fantastic, and i’ve been back again and again and again! Thank you Jose for your passion, your knowledge, and your dedication to this special place. I’ll see you next year, and will be bringing more friends :-)
