Yorkshire Spa Retreat的点评
点评：We went for a full day spa day, including a treatment and a two course lunch with Prosecco.
The location is gorgeous and from a spa perspective, it’s brilliant. I had a really great facial and the different sauna/steam huts are lovely and the wild swimming pond is beautiful.
The food/beverage offering however is lacking (for the price of the day, it shouldn’t be). I will say, I enjoy that you can order food and drink to your lounger around the pond however the quality of the lunch was at best average. The chips which came with both our mains were half cooked and raw/cold on the inside, and my mum had a club sandwich which was really abysmal. Edible but just more like something you’d pick up at a motorway service station on a long drive.
After my treatment, I ordered a cocktail, and hand on heart it was one of the worst cocktails I’ve ever had. It was watery, flat and soapy. I appreciate it’s a spa not a bar but if you’re going to offer drinks, do it better. I ended up sending it back because it truly was undrinkable, and replacing it with a glass of sparkling as you can’t go wrong there.
Overall lovely spa day but slightly let down by its very poor catering options.
