点评:We were staying in Bellagio and decided to take a boat ride up to the north end of Lake Como. Before reaching the Colico, we decided to get off at Gravedona, so we could have lunch and explore a bit of the town. This stop gave us a two hour time frame to work with. We headed north, taking a right after we got off the boat. We passed a few restaurants before stopping at Da Gennarino. There was so sign with the name of the restaurant, but was the kind of small restaurant that we have been drawn to. The owner told he had a menu of Pinse, which he explained is not Pizza. He recommended an excellent white wine for me and my husband had a glass of beer. The wine was excellent and the Pinse with Barrata, salsa di pomodoro, olive oil and basil was over the top amazing. The baratta was artfully placed on top of the crust and salsa di pomodoro and we were instructed to slice the Barrata open and spread it on the Pinse. The crust was perfectly crisp and the inside was perfect fluffy pillow of bread that was unlike any crust I've ever had. We're in Italy for 44 days and this is one of my top 3 all time best food experiences I've ever had.
If you're headed north on Lake Como, don't hesitate to get off and visit Gravedona and Da Gennarino. You will not be disappointed.
