点评:Roberta and Simona are the sisters at the heart of this operation. They are the third generation to produce olive oil on this land and their heart for the craft and passion for their product is infectious. We had a wonderful tour during which Roberta walked us through the whole process of producing this high quality extra virgen, organic, cold pressed oil. We got to see the trees, the mill and the way every part of the olive is used for oil, for fuel and for heat! This fascinating tour was followed by a tasting of the oil-- and many beautiful local foods which helped to highlight the three delicious oils Olio Ronci produces. The bruschetta featured zucchini, tomato, wild asparagus, eggplant, hummus and artichoke, as well as salumi made from pigs raised on the farm, local cheese and wine. It was a wonderful experience for our family (mother and three adult children) during our tour of Umbria. If you are curious about olive oil, small family farms, or just want a delicious experience, I would highly recommend adding this stop to your itinerary!
