点评:On a recent holiday to Dorset, we were tossing up between Brownsea Island and The Blue Pool. The Blue Pool won and so did we….this place is just wonderful. We were welcomed to the park by a very charming man at the gate who set an excellent first impression (as did the gorgeous art deco gate) and the high standard he set was maintained throughout. The pool and the woods were just lovely - so peaceful. We spent a very couple of happy hours soaking it all up. I teased the rope bridge, but ultimately left it to its own devices! And then onto the cafe…again, keeping on the 1930’s art deco theme, which was reasonably priced, with friendly staff, and serving a really tasty pasty (which the resident peacock would like to have shared!). The shop sold a really nice range of gifts - we were happy to see a real lack of cheap plastic tat that so many gift shops are packed to the gills with. To finish our day, we indulged in an ice cream in the parlour (again served by a friendly lady) and purchased a couple of ferns at the plant centre. We couldn’t have asked for more from our visit - we loved everything about it and will definitely visit when we are next in the area.
(And big kudos to the new local owners who purchased the Blue Pool after the long time owner passed away rather than letting it go to a corporate buyer or to seed.)

(非常感谢当地的新主人,他们在蓝池的长期主人去世后买下了它,而不是把它卖给企业买家或留作种子。)
