Absolutely Beautiful – A REAL Hidden Gem?!

点评：We had an absolutely amazing morning at Blue Pool Tea Rooms – what a special place!!!
The setting is genuinely beautiful, and there’s so much to do as a family. Our children (aged 2 and 4) were completely captivated by the fairy and gnome walk – it really sparked their imagination. The rope bridge was a big hit too, giving them a bit of adventure and helping them step out of their comfort zone. After that, the playground was fantastic – loads of great equipment and plenty to keep them entertained.
The tea room itself (and the area just outside) is fabulous. Sitting there with a view over the pool is just perfect – one of those places you could happily spend hours. There’s even a wedding area which is so beautiful it genuinely made me think about renewing our vows there!
We were lucky with the weather, but it made for a perfect 3-hour visit in the sunshine. The 1930s theme in the tea room, with subtle jazz music playing, really adds something unique – it feels like stepping back in time to when the attraction first opened.
Food was great as well.
The only very minor downside was that the service felt slightly curt when we asked about a children’s menu. Given the family focus (fairy walk, play area etc.), it didn’t feel like an unreasonable question – but this was a small point in an otherwise brilliant experience.
Overall, I really can’t emphasise enough how wonderful this place is. 10/10 – highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone wanting to reconnect with nature or just enjoy a lovely walk and chat in a stunning setting.
