Freedom Island Retreat的点评
点评：We were booked a double room here though Blue Swimmer tour operators without knowing beforehand where we were going.
Come to find out, it is NOTHING like it is portrayed on their website.
It turned out to be a backpacker, party flophouse but once it was the off season, only us and a group of three other woman were the only overnight guests.
Upon check in, we weren’t given our double room but a room with three twin beds. When questioned about it, we were told they were ‘remodeling’.
Curiously, the room next to ours was a double, clean, and the doors unlocked and lights on and remained vacant all day and night.
Our room was filthy: gecko poop on the walls, smashed bugs, exposed wires, rats in the ceiling, the shower had literal cobwebs with leaves stuck in them. The bathroom door and window were cracked with dirt, rotting, and broken.
We slept with the lights on all night and at one point I went to the balcony to sleep in a chair…to no avail.
Our porch lights were broken as were two lights inside the room. The balcony was sloping with loose boards. The other party that was staying were in a nicer bungalow with a large private covered porch area with nice furniture. We had broken chairs.
The beach was littered with trash and garbage.
The entire experience was insulting and disgusting.
