If we are talking about Spiaggia di Castello, then its a fine long stretch of soft sand and sea washed sand.

点评：Map sites have this beach as Spiaggia di Castello and Monolite Pizzomunno as the name for the large white limestone monolith that dominates the beach at it northern most end. But to definitely confirm, we are talking about the large stretch of sand to the south of Vieste Old town.
Frankly the beach at this end closest to the town isn’t very good, being overcrowded and not particularly clean. However, walk a couple of kilometres south to what the map sites definitely say Spiaggia di Castello, and the beach is much better.
We were lucky to visit at the start of May, when the various hotels and lidos had not segregated the beach with their own umbrellas and beds and could see the beach empty and were able to walk all the way down to where it becomes Spiaggia di Vieste.
The five stars I give it is for where it is called Spiaggia di Castello. If we are talking about the section close to the Monolite Pizzomunno, then frankly it would be 3 stars only.
