Excellent Snorkeling and Tucked Away from Tourist Areas.

点评：Let me start with saying I’ve gone diving and snorkeling in the Keys, Belize, Cozumel, Akumal and Costa Rica to name some of the best. The snorkeling right off the shore at Secret Harbor is by far the easiest swim to see the most diverse wildlife I’ve ever experienced. There are several reefs on the sides and back of their beach, where you can see loads of different fish. I even swam with a sea turtle for about 20 minutes! We took a boat tour snorkeling during y s visit and didn’t see as much fish as we saw just off the shore of this resort. 10 out of 10 for the snorkeling experience!
We loved the resort itself, especially how it was tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ships. Yet, the location was a 20-30 minute drive from the tourist areas with shops. There is a town close by (5 minute drive) with shops and restaurants and a nice grocery store nearby as well. However, we found that we enjoyed both restaurants on the property immensely and dined there as well. The condo style rooms would make it perfect for families, and we didn’t have to fight for chairs on the beach. (Though, I do believe we came at a slower time.) We rented a car, despite our insecurities about driving in the opposite side of the road. Once behind the wheel, it was less intimidating than we thought and we were glad we had the freedom to come and go as we pleased. The gym was small, but it had a few treadmills and some weights, so it worked for us. The pool was a little hike to the top of a hill, but it had a beautiful view. Ours was a short trip, but we will definitely be back again and look forward to bringing our kids with us next time.
