Nice Beach for Cruisers
Secret Harbour的点评
点评：We visited here to go snorkeling during our cruise stop for the day. Secret Harbor is a quiet public beach at the Secret Harbor Resort. There are some rocks in the water so I recommend you wear water shoes. Next to the resort, on the beach is Aqua Action Dive Center. You can go diving, rent snorkel gear, and rent beach chairs and umbrellas. The equipment is limited so I recommend you go online to their website and rent in advance. We brought our own snorkel gear and rented 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for the day for $45. You pay when you get there. They will accept credit cards and cash.
The beach is in a cove with rocks on each side. The water was very calm. We found snorkeling on the left side of the cove was best. Most of the coral is dead due to previous hurricanes but there is some new coral growing. There was a nice variety of fish, including 3 good size barracuda. We also saw a stingray and octopus no more than 3 feet off the shore in one foot of water.
Next to the dive center is a restaurant called the Sunset Grille and bar. There are also free bathrooms available. The bar has a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices that you can take down to the beach. The grill has a pretty good menu. You can find the menu on their website. Credit cards are accepted at the restaurant and bar.
For cruisers you need to take a taxi from the cruise terminal for the 20-25 minute drive. The taxi fares are set at $15 per person each way. When you are ready to return, have the front desk person at the Secret Harbor Resort call a taxi for you. You may have to wait for 10 minutes before the taxi comes.
