Saying that my experience with the manager on the phone was very unpleasant,
We booked online in the evening about 7pm. The booking was for the following day at 3pm We were taking two of our elderly parents for a treat ( we said that we would do the pedaling for them 😲) Sadly I became very sick during the night. I rang to cancel and to see if I could get a partial refund. I was quoted company policy that there are no refunds under any circumstances. Which is stated on the website. I asked if they sold my booking to someone else could I get a partial refund.?
The Manager said I was looking for a freebie? He implied he didn't believe I was sick and stated that he wouldn't lose any sleep over taking my money.
I stated that I didn't think he would talk to me like this in person, to which he said you're welcome to come down and find out. The conversation was starting to get heated so I said we should end the conversation and I would write an honest review.
I have since been sent an email with a better tone which is in my opinion just to cover his back . I encourage everyone to still go and enjoy the experience, however if things go wrong do not expect any customer courtesy or a willingness to treat you as a customer in a good way. After all it's all about your money 💰. The manager was right in what he said about company policy stating no refunds, however where is the human touch.
