A real-life educational experience not to be passed up

点评：If there is one place or experience that one should not miss while visiting the Finger Lakes Region, this would be high on our list.
Our literally hands-on experience with a variety of rescued animals so marvelously guided by deeply committed staff was so special. We found so many similarities between human and non-human beings, e.g. the need for touch, attention, verbal and non-verbal interaction and loving physical care, that it was a bit difficult to separate the "residents" from visitors at times.
In addition to the great narratives about our newfound companions, the well-informed staff provided very significant scientific material re: plant life which stretches one's understanding about life on this planet.
Our emotions were deeply touched during and immediately after our brief stay here and the impact of our visit remains strong.
Extremely recommended.
