An ideal adventure, even for the inexperienced

点评：We drove up from Sydney for this hour on the quad bikes over the dunes and regarded it as well worthwhile (with signing in and shifting to where the bikes were probably double that time is required). It could have been longer! Catering for couples (unlike other similar tours that we investigated) and singles (the singles get to tackle the higher dunes) the professional guides handled the inexperienced and experienced with aplomb. A good quick set of instructions before we set off and then it was off to the dunes.
We'd read the on-line bits before arriving so wore enclosed shoes, long pants, and sunnies, and I felt sorry for the people in shorts (hot bike engine plus odd bits of scrub might have made parts of their trek a bit uncomfortable).
The only downside was the on-line rigmarole before getting to the Cultural Centre - for families it would have been fine though plenty of screens to fill in or agree to, but for a group of friends when the system wanted names, addresses, emails, phone numbers and dates of birth, plus signatures on the screen, I was ready to scream long before we started. Luckily the following experience more than made up for the Internet frustrations.
And despite the warning about snakes was glad that we never saw any! Those dunes go for miles and if you crave a bit of adventure without too much risk then this particular adventure is highly recommended.
