Valley of the Butterflies的点评
点评：Lovely trip out.
Got the transfer from our hotel (which took about an hour but was only €36 return for four of us). You can catch a taxi and there is taxi rank where cars pull up fairly regularly for a return. It’s all set pricing so you won’t get a meter. Entrance is €6 per adult children are not charged.
We only did the top half of the valley as it was becoming too packed and hot to do the bottom half but we managed to get up and back with plenty of time to spare for our pick up 90 mins later. Our transfer dropped us off at the half way entrance but there is also one at the top and the bottom.
There are places to eat and drink at the top and middle (not sure about the bottom entrance). The top one was ok, a little expensive for local pricing but ok. And you’ll need $0.50 for the toilets which they won’t help you with change at that cafe.
The valley itself is beautiful. Lots of butterflies but we went in August which as the website says is the best time. And yes, they are all of the same species and they don’t all fly around like a Disney movie but they are worth a visit. If you go at the other times of year you’ll likely not see any but the walk is still a nice one.
Now, I think the clue is in the title but some people seemed to have missed the obvious. It’s a valley, therefore it is steep in places. Most of the pathed path was is cobbled so it’s uneven but in an old town kinda way not an unmanageable way. You don’t need walking shoes at all. I did it in flip flops just fine but I imagine if it’s raining it could be slippery.
There was no land train working that day (because you could get it to the top and just walk down if you fancied).
Top tip. Get there early. We left around 11.30 and it was getting really busy, which does make it slower to walk, hotter and not as pleasant. We seemed to be leaving just as a couple of large coaches were dropped off, I wouldn’t recommend that at all.

现在，我觉得标题里应该有线索了，但有些人似乎忽略了显而易见的事实。这是一个山谷，所以有些地方比较陡峭。大部分小路都是鹅卵石铺成的，所以路况不太好，但对于一个老城区来说，也并非难以驾驭。你根本不需要步行鞋。我穿着人字拖走得很好，但我想如果下雨的话，路可能会很滑。
那天没有陆地列车运行（因为如果你愿意的话，你可以先坐到山顶，然后步行下来）。
最重要的建议：早点到那里。我们大约11点半出发，路上人流开始增多，导致步行速度变慢，天气也更热，也不那么舒服。我们出发的时候，好像正好有几辆大型巴士下车，我完全不建议这样做。
