Rude staff and waste of money

点评：I booked a whale shark snorkeling tour through a salesman on the beach (Oliver) and had a terrible experience.
Firstly Oliver didn’t confirm I could definitely go until 3 minutes before my pick up time and then was incredibly rude when I wasn’t sat on the pavement waiting when he arrived.
The day we went out other tour companies cancelled due to bad weather however ours went out anyway. We didn’t even get to the area where whale sharks can be seen before we had to turn around for bad weather. We then moored up at the end of the island for food and ‘rest’. It was still raining so we asked to go straight home instead but the captain said no. The second snorkel point we also didn’t attempt to go to for bad weather. When we returned home we were all refused any form of refund or alternative trip despite being given absolutely no warning that this would be the case when we paid.
Furthermore, the day I was originally due to go was cancelled due to bad weather, which is absolutely understandable, however I wasn’t told until 30 minutes after my pick up time, and my calls and texts were ignored.
The boss we spoke to was also incredibly rude and didn’t seem remotely bothered at the idea of a bad review as they know they are a tourist trap. Overall a terrible experience and complete waste of money. That said, our English speaking guide Alex was lovely and very knowledgable.
