A valuable source for maps and info - customer service lacking this day
Nelson i-SITE Visitor Information Centre的点评
点评:My wife and I stopped in as we were looking for some local information and have always found the i-site to be a good source to add to what I have already researched. Firstly the building - signage and entrance was a little obscured by some works going on. Inside there was a lot of information on the area in terms of tracks into the Tasman district, maps, tours etc. Not what we were after, but is a big draw for the area so would no doubt have been helpful for those looking for info on the multi day tracks and DoC info. The staff - a bit of a low point for us and unusual in our experience fo i-Site's.
Christine seemed to be the one working the day we went, and we overheard some of the conversation with the lady customer before us as we were looking at the same info (Brook Waimarama Sanctuary). Apparently this lady had tried to find the entrance the day before and thought the signage a little lacking (entry is apparently through a campground). Christine is apparently a volunteer and works/ed there so knew it well, but was in my view a little condescending in her approach to both her and ourselves with some reasonable questions we posed. Could have been an off day (we all have them) as others have left more higher rated reviews.
