Volunteers think twice about staying on the property.

点评：I was a volunteer there for 1 month. I signed up to stay on the conservation centers property and work there. As far as my experience with animal care I can't complain. While I was there I was fortunate enough to provide infant care, participate in a release and research project, food prep and animal welfare. My negative experience came with the accommodations. I was supposed to stay 28 days but only lasted 3 nights. By the third day I was covered in insect bites so bad that I was taken to a doctor who, after extensive questioning told me I could not sleep in the bed I was given because there had to be something in the bed causing the bites which in fact was the case (I have pictures clearly showing bugs on the bed) When Nancy (person in charge) was asked where else I could sleep she didn't answer so I was forced to get a hotel for the rest of my stay. When I asked for a partial refund for the 25 days I didn't stay there she refused blaming the bites on me. Also if you have any kind of food allergies be very careful because they don't take it seriously and I ended up in the ER, which Nancy also claimed was my fault. I have pictures of the food and the packaging.
