Alpaca Expeditions的点评
点评：My partner and i did a number of smaller tours with Alpaca Expedition.
We first did rainbow mountain with Evan and Alex, then Macchu Picchu with Javier, and a full day tour from Ollyantambu to Cusco with Isao and our driver Richard. Equally, all the guides were so passionate and knowledgeable about Peru and the historic sites. I was impressed at how readily they were able to answer all of our nuanced, unique questions. They all definitely made the trip more enjoyable in their own way because of this, and just by being their authentic selves. The tour guides were absolutely top notch. Five starts all around.
One hiccup we ran into was that we originally booked for the 5 day/5 Night salkantay trek. My partner had gotten terrible high altitude edema requiring hospitalization the day we were to leave for the hike, and their refund policy was very strict around no refunds. This is a strictly corporate issue, because guides frequently told us how unwell many people get and therefore lose their money on excursions
. Our saving grace was initially Nancy and then David who worked in the office who tried their best to support us every way they could within their corporate structure. We still did not recover the initial cost, but we are so so grateful for what we were able to experience through David's support.
