Fantastic Place. Food dire!

点评：Firstly, what an amazing location. We had a wonderful walk along the coastal path, visited the iron man and could not believe what a gem of a place this is. The buildings are magnificent, as are the grounds and the art on display, whilst beyond my reach financially, was inspiring and, largely, local.
The cafe was also a wonderful, modern construction and the staff were very friendly and pleasant.
Which makes it all the more bemusing as to how bad the food was! It is all ‘food to go’ which I entirely understand, but honestly the jacket potato’s were terrible. Poor grade potatoes, seemingly microwaved, with little filling and getting on for a tenner each. They were also cold and the texture was like eating a bullrush! A dry, cloy texture that was very unpleasant. We were starving so ate the lot but for over £50 for a family of 5 it felt wrong somehow and was not acceptable.
We did not complain. No point as this is clearly the business model, but we left disappointed at the second to worst meal that we have ever had. The very worst one…..well that’s a long story.
Please sort this out as the venue deserves so much more.
