Beautiful!! Smaller State Park but just as Beautiful as Arches and Canyonlands National Parks

点评：Dead Horse Point State Park is conveniently located near the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands NP.
While it is a smaller state park, the scenery is as stunning as its neighboring national parks. We stopped here after leaving Canyonland’s Island in the Sky District.
Tip: Stop at the Visitor Center for a map. Note: The Visitor Center has an assortment of sodas, water, snacks and ice cream available for purchase unlike the national park visitor centers at Arches and Canyonlands.
Our favorite viewpoint was the Dead Horse Viewpoint. You can see the cliff from the final scene of the movie Thelma and Louis where the car went off the cliff. The views are incredible. We didn’t hike any of the trails here so it only took an hour or two to see everything. Most viewpoints are accessible only on trails.
