点评：Fort Stevens State Park isn’t just a campground—it’s a full-on adventure hub tucked into Oregon’s northwest corner. Whether you're rolling in with your overland rig, pitching a tent, or just passing through, this place has something for every kind of explorer.
We rolled into Fort Stevens expecting a cool coastal stop—and left blown away by how much there is to see and do. This place is packed with history, nature, and adventure. It’s home to the Peter Iredale shipwreck (a must-see), a historic military fort, miles of bike and hiking trails, and access to both the Pacific Ocean and the Columbia River.
The campground itself is massive, clean, and well-organized. Lots of spacious sites, including full hook-ups and more secluded options for those of us who like to “rough it” a little. There’s even a dedicated hiker/biker area and plenty of space for overland-style setups. Facilities were well maintained, and the staff was super helpful.
Highlights for us:
Walking along the beach at sunset with the rusted remains of the Peter Iredale in the background.
Exploring the old fort batteries—Cayden had a blast, and it felt like stepping into a forgotten world.
Spotting wildlife in the coastal wetlands (bring binoculars if you’re into birding!).
Pro Tips:
Bring bikes—the trail network here is awesome and makes exploring easy.
If you’re into photography or video like us, sunrise and sunset are magic at the beach.
Summer fills up fast—book early!
Fort Stevens is a rare combo: historical, coastal, forested, and full of opportunities for adventure. It’s the kind of spot that works whether you're on a tight overlanding route or settling in for a few days of coastal chill.
