点评:We visited as a family with grown up kids.
The tickets of ferry and permit can be obtained on arrival. Since the island is UNINHABITED and only open only for visits for six odd hours, one has to start early. An hour long boat ride takes you to the island.
The ferry anchors 100 mtrs away and the visitors are dropped on the island by small boats.
There are no shops but clean washrooms and changing rooms are there. One is allowed to get into the water on a designated area, upto chest level depth but scuba diving or snorkeling are not allowed because it's said to be the second largest live coral site after Australia. Glass bottom boats are carried in tow by our ferries which are used to show the corals for a fee of Rs 1200/- and 1500/- depending on the time you spend. The ferry ticket and permit is another 1900/- each.
Because there are no shops etc, carry your water and snacks. Good thing is that guards are strict and won't let litter the place.... that makes it good. For people above 50 who ain't allowed scuba diving anywhere, this is the best place to see marine life.
Highly recommended.
