点评:Highly recommend. Have done two experiences with Mick - one in spring foraging for asparagus and other spring greens and one winter foraging for mushrooms.
The experience starts with an hr or so of foraging with Mick who is a font of knowledge about the local environments and what you can eat in them. It's really fun finding the edible plants yourself, a treasure hunt for adults. Even when the recent weather patterns have not been favourable for collecting it's just lovely being out in nature and the focus foraging encourages let's you just relax and be in the moment.
After collecting, Mick takes you to a set table under a mini marquee - the winter set up is gorgeous, isolated in a pine forest. You are then treated to a phenomenal 5 course meal with local ingredients including those you have foraged. Matched wines from Bream Creek are the cherry on top.
I did this for a Xmas present then immediately booked a private lunch for my birthday. Would highly recommend this as an alternative to any restaurant based fine dining experience. It's fine dining, but in nature and you get to discover some of the food before hand. 10 stars!
