Highly recommended tour of a real working distillery with loads of history.

点评：This was my second distillery visit after Glenlivet the previous day. The tour was the 2 hour Hopkins Experience and I discovered that I was the only person on the tour. The distillery was reasonably small but more 'old fashioned' and all the better for it as it was fun to view the really older parts of the buildings which were now unused.
The tour guide, who I think his name was Alec (sorry if I have got that wrong) was an excellent guide who had worked in the distillery for years and therefore had a great knowledge of whisky making and the distillery.
Access and photographs were allowed almost everywhere which was great and the tasting experience was fantastic. Only downside was that several of the whiskies were not available to buy in the shop, which was quite small. But they have only been doing tours for a few years so hopefully this is an area that they will be improving on in the future.
