点评:When you drive from the northern part of the Netherlands to the rural, rolling parts of Gelderland, this is the first landmark you experience.
Hattem is a long-known hanzecity and really makes up to its name by giving a young aspiring landscapist the opportunity to design such a marvelous piece of infrastructure.
Especially when the wind is coming from the south-west (the dominant wind direction in the Netherlands) you can see the wind playing with the long, winter hardened grasses which show you the directions to the good side of the IJssel, the beautiful city of Zwolle.
The most interesting thing about this design however is the conglomeration between the flowers en the bees, which directly relates to 13th century bizantine tradition.
All-in-all a very nice landmark and cultural highlight.
