点评:I didn't quite know what to expect for a visit to Wentworth Falls but it was all well and very worth it. You can take public transport there on the very affordable NSW Trains from Sydney (or drive), and the falls are about a 2 km walk from the station. Many people walk the distance. There's also a bus. You get to a nice vista of the area and the Blue Mountains upon arrival, although no sign of the falls until you turn left and walk down a few flights of paved paths and stairs. You will then see the top of the falls, and also the upper streams. Turn right down the Grand Staircase and you can literally walk down to the foot of the main falls in about 30 min. The views at the bottom were spectacular. If it is a windy day, the falls can be seen flowing upwards in a spray - which can create rainbows in the afternoon. The route continues on to what is called the National Pass trail, but apparently that takes 5 hours The sun was setting, so I didn't do it, but a couple of Aussie students told me they were going to keep going and empathized with me that I had to walk the way up (I think they might be in for a surprise cos one has to come up the valley somehow, there's no other way about it). The walk up was indeed strenuous, but it wasn't too too bad. There were a few rock surfaces to take a breather. It can get crowded though, so avoid weekends. There were other areas to explore on the cliff top, like Lincoln Rock (it was okay), and a few cliff edge trails. I walked almost 40,000 steps that day.
