Vast disparity between promise and execution
The Homestead的点评
点评：I REALLY REALLY want to like this place, but they make it SO HARD.
Omni has invested hundreds of millions of $$$ to renovate this historic place, and it shows!
•Beautiful place in all respects
•Lobby is gorgeous
•Theater has been completely remodeled, and is wonderful
•Rooms are first-rate
•Water park is the signature attraction for families (when it works)
BUT Omni just can’t get its act together regarding execution of the operation of the resort:
•Call from Omni Homestead 2 days before arrival that they couldn’t honor our resv for 3 “led horseback rides” for our grandchildren (made last February); blamed on corporate resv agent
•Check-in: “Sir, we have no record of your alleged “premium room reservation”. Me: “how about this Omni confirmation of a premium room reservation?” Omni: “Sir, I’ll get right on it! It’s corporate’s fault!!”
•July 1-5: “our busiest week of the year!”
••July 2: both Jefferson’s (fine dining) & Woody’s (casual dining) are closed!!
••Oh by the way: water park is closed today and there’s no hot water at night!!
••July 3: Woody’s is still closed! Jefferson’s is booked up! The Taproom is totally swamped! Our party of 9 “dines” on the front porch after a 1-hour wait!
••July 4: “Gala July 4 BBQ buffet!” Oh, sorry, sir, it’s sold out and Jefferson’s is fully booked!
Get my drift??
•Through sheer incompetence (and a lot of finger pointing), the Omni Homestead fails to deliver once again! (See last year’s post).
•They have delivered on the total overhaul of the ancient resort
BUT
Omni continues to fail at syncing the back-office functions with the operation of the resort.
I am TOTALLY unimpressed.

••7 月 2 日：Jefferson’s（高级餐厅）和 Woody’s（休闲餐厅）都关门了！！
••哦，顺便说一句：水上乐园今天关门了，晚上没有热水！！
••7 月 3 日：Woody’s 仍然关门！Jefferson’s 已经订满了！Taproom 完全被淹没了！我们一行 9 人在前廊“用餐”，等了一个小时！
••7 月 4 日：“7 月 4 日盛大烧烤自助餐！”哦，对不起，先生，已经卖完了，Jefferson’s 也订满了！
明白我的意思了吗？
•由于完全无能（和大量的指责），Omni Homestead 再次未能兑现承诺！（参见去年的帖子）。
•他们已经完成了对古老度假村的全面改造
但是
Omni 仍然无法将后台功能与度假村的运营同步。
我完全不满意。
