Great way to get in some cardio

点评：What a beautiful day we had. My adult son and I started out early even though it wasn’t going to be too hot because we wanted to beat the crowds. We wanted to be able to get some waterfall shots from the bridge without holding anyone up. We did the north and south rims. We went up to Inspiration Point and on to High Bluff. High Bluff is confusing because the brochure says a mile and a half but to make a loop it’s more like 5 miles. We went up to the bluff and swung back the way we came due to time restraints. That was not my favorite but we may have missed something by turning back.
I did not see anyone on the gorge floor. Maybe the water was too high? We thought about it but since we didn’t see anyone else there we didn’t bother asking about a permit. The area has had a lot of rain so the waterfalls were powerful and easy to see. I love a challenge and the stairs were a challenge but not uncomfortable. Once you get to the top after the bridge, you can go to Overlooks 8-10. Overlook 10 is not a must see but the others were.
It’s a lot of walking but a fun way to spend a morning. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area
