Overpriced and unmagical
Cogges Manor Farm的点评
点评：Went to cogges and having paid over £50 for my husband, 6 and 3 year old and myself we were really looking forward to a lovely old worldly, country Christmas scene. We were picturing animals in Dens decorated for the season and a grotto which invoked Christmas of the past. We had to pay to enter the farm and then extra for the kids to see Santa in a “grotto”. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome and given a good description of the farm and where to go. They spoke about a green gazebo and and elf which we wouldn’t miss and this made me very excited.
Then what disappointment barely any decoration on the farm except for small space inside small barns. Barely anything for the kids to interact with. A few light but not other Xmas decor. The house was staged in Xmas past which was nice but really nothing to provide any magic for the kids. Signage was so if there were more animals than the 2 goats we fed we couldn’t find them ( we paid £2 for two bags of feed). They were even charging £1 per child for the snowman trail, which was just a few paper pictures of snowmen around the tiny site (I’ve never been charged for something like this before !). They were giving away some small free welsh cake made in the old kitchen on the traditional way but again no signage letting people know and very little interaction for kids. The Santa was nice and read a story but the grotto was such a disappointment as it was once small entry hall decoration with some background, and stuffed animals! The toys were also a disappointment.
All in all very disappointed as it was a costly day out
