阿德莱德植物园的点评
点评：Visited the Botanical Gardens from our cruise ship on Mother’s Day. Very easy to get there from the cruise port- we took the train into the center (RR station), we got on the train without a ticket and when we arrived at the main station a very nice attendant directed us into the information booth where we were able to purchase a cruise passenger pass for $10 AUD/pp which was good on all transportation for the day. Walked outside the station and boarded a bus clearly marked “Botanical Gardens “. Dropped off across the street from the garden entrance.
The gardens are absolutely stunning! Even in late fall (May) they were incredibly beautiful. The diversity of plantings with a variety of shades of green and different shapes and textures made each walkway unique.
The rose garden is the most beautiful we have seen- there must be at least an acre or more of roses in every color imaginable with so many varieties still in bloom.
There were many other shrubs in bloom as well though certainly not as colorful as spring/summer would be. Being Mothers Day the park was quite full yet its so large we never felt crowded.
We have visited several Botanical gardens during our trip to Australia and by far this was the best!
