点评:As one of the attractions at Perry’s Center, this one is the most island-specific. You buy your ticket at the gift shop and are assigned a tour time. Tours may have up to about 25 people that I could see. As the tour begins, you will descend a steep concrete stairway that requires ducking and turning sideways. The cave tour itself is narrated by a guide and is reasonably well-lit, but has numerous low headroom spots and some water puddles. Make sure to wear proper shoes (no flip flops or slippers) and is chilly so bring a sweater or light jacket. It is not as claustrophobic as some tours like this. Though a short duration, about 20 minutes, it is interesting just the same. To exit, you must climb the same steps and then end up in the gift shop.
One oddity of the Perry attractions complex: there are no drinking fountains on the property, or at least, none that I could see. So it may pay to bring along a water bottle if you intend to visit a few of the attractions. There are modern restrooms and a small, free car museum.
If you have an interest in caves but don’t want to invest a lot of time or deal with more arduous cave tours, this one may be the best way to learn about island history.
