点评:A large garden that is very well organised for tourists - you pick a trail and simply follow it. Great diversity, even including a bonsai garden (but I thought there were too many repeat specimens…) and a Japanese garden! It’s shady half the time when you do the trails. If elderly or inconvenienced, you can avoid the slopes that lead up the forest area.
At the end of everything is a cafe/restaurant. Some have commented it is dirty but it was good today. Food is not bad.
This park is easily accessible with bus 471 from downtown - I boarded from Ann street stop 12 (this stop seems to be an important one, as I have used it many times in this week). You may wish to note that there is only one bus stop at the gardens, so I’m guessing it is a loop bus. However, it may proceed, from the gardens, to the summit as the next stop where you get fabulous lookout views of Brisbane city (and there is an also a restaurant there!). Upon return to city I alighted at Adelaide street.
Can spend 1 and quarter hour or so in this garden if you walk leisurely.
So why four not five stars? I thought flowers were rather lacking for a “botanical” gardens. It’s a lot of green, that’s for sure!
