点评:We went to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary on 26th Feb 2026. The weather was hot but comfortable with plenty of shade available. I was visiting my son Stuart and his partner Ally who live locally and have called the sanctuary a couple of times regarding injured animals needing rescuing
I must admit I found the amount of roadkill and injured wildlife, in Tasmania, to be horrendous, but understand the problem with the nocturnal animals.
We met a few members of staff who were both very knowledgeable about the workings of the Sanctuary, it's history and the great work they do for the community. One of the staff was the owners son who was a great ambassador for the place.
We particularly liked the Masked Owls and the Tawny Frogmouths.
This is a very special place to visit, very informative and very active in the community, by campaigning hard to try to save the lives of the wildlife.
