Beautiful Gardens,Great Tour!!
基督城植物园的点评
点评：The gardens are huge so we took the hour narrated electric shuttle tour. Our guide was knowledgable and entertaining. He identified unique plants,trees and birds; told stories of how the plants were obtained and cared for and described the seasonal changes in the garden. He was not a fan of the invasive Canadian geese pointing to wolf cut out figures set up in the garden to deter the geese. Unfortunately no one told the geese to fear the wolf cut out (his words) so the geese were all around them. Tickets could be bought from the driver (30NZ), we made no reservation but had $2 off coupons picked up at the hotel. There were 3 stops but we only got off at the rose garden which was stunning although at the end of bloom. This was a fast way to get an orientation of the gardens followed by a walk in areas of interest.Highly recommend the gardens and tour.
