I love that it is so close to the city centre, yet it has its own waterside atmosphere — with boats, restaurants, hotels, attractions and people walking everywhere.
It is a wonderful place for families, couples, tourists and anyone who wants to enjoy Sydney without rushing. During the day, you can walk along the harbour, take photos, visit the aquarium, museums, shops or simply sit by the water and watch the city move around you. There is always something happening here.
For families with children, Darling Harbour is especially convenient because so many attractions are close to each other. You can spend several hours here without needing to travel far. For adults, there are beautiful waterfront restaurants, cafes, bars and premium hotels. It is also a lovely place for dinner, especially when the lights come on and the harbour becomes more atmospheric.
