点评:This is the most iconic beach of Sydney, even the name that comes to mind to first-time visitors when thinking of beaches in Australia as a whole. Bondi was and technically is still a suburb of Sydney although urban sprawl means the 2 are contiguous now. The beach is the closest to the city’s CBD and most easily accessed from Circular Quay where we were staying by bus (379). Our friends, however, picked us up and drove us there.
It was the Monday of the Australia Day weekend holiday and the beach and surrounding area was packed. Needless to say the parking lots were full and we were lucky to find a spot. We elected to stay on the grass under the trees closer to the parking lots rather than hang out on the sand. The younger ones among us swam while we walked along the beach and sidewalks enjoying the view. There were many surfers making the most of the waves rolling in.
We spent a couple of relaxing hours people-watching and enjoying the views and energetic vibes of Bondi
