Great zoo to visit one of the best.
塔瑞噶野生动物园的点评
点评：Having been to Sydney on a number of occasions, we have never seemed to get to the Taronga Zoo, however this time it was top of our places to visit. We had planned a day there starting with a ferry ride. The weather however had a different view, rain and winds in the morning meant we had to miss the ferry, but went y bus in the end. This nevertheless turned out to be a good option with the zoo spread out over the different levels it was a walk down through the enclosures and the cable car back.
This is probably the best way to get the most out of your visit. Obviously if you do arrive by ferry take the cable car up and then have a gentle stroll back down. Plenty of enclosures and places to eat on the way.
The animals were also feeling the colder weather, with a lot of them huddled away in their various shelters. You can still see them, but through the glass paneling.
The enclosures are well constructed and the animals are in great condition. Our focus tends. to be on those that are outside Africa, having seen most of them on game drives.
Definitely a great way to spend a day with the family and there is plenty to do for the younger members.
Due to the great position As you walk around the zoo there are also great views over Sydney Harbour, City, Opera House, Harbour Bridge and many more. Not many places do you get to see an amazing array of the worlds wildlife, but also some of the most iconic views as well.
Its also great to see that the entrance building has been maintained very much in its original architecture and really sets the tone for the rest of the zoo.
